What do you mean by grass-finished?

Hank’s grass-fed beef comes from cattle that have been finished on a grass forage diet. Our emphasis is providing the closest thing to a natural diet as possible. In our grass-fed beef program, the calves are weaned at 60 days and transition to a grower diet. During this transition, they get access to some grains for approximately 3 weeks. The grower diet is based on grass forage and is supplemented with free choice of liquid whey and if required dried ground peas.
